IMPRESSIONS

[ VISUAL ] Maeve is a 5'3" human woman of apparent mixed descent, with light-brown skin, long, curling black hair, brown eyes, and a slender frame. She appears to be in her late 30s-early 40s.
[ ATTIRE ] Practicality takes precedence. Dark trousers, tall boots, a blouse and a jacket - the clothing, while new, looks slightly outdated, as if from an Old West film set. Maeve also has a belt and holster for a side-arm.
[ DEMEANOR] At first glance Maeve is pleasant and self-assured, confident but polite. As the former madam of a brothel she is familiar with both directing conversations and acting whichever part is necessary to appeal to her conversational partner, and she is very persuasive. Largely inscrutable, she has significant control over her emotions and very rarely permits others to see them unless undergoing extreme duress.
[ SOUND ] Maeve was coded to speak with an English accent, which is an affectation of her programming - as with other hosts, when Maeve enters Analysis mode she drops the accent. Even when sapient she continues to use it.
[ SCENT ] Intended to be attractive to guests and other hosts, Maeve smells very faintly of perfume.
[ MENTAL ] Maeve is a well-oiled machine. Unless one happens to somehow have a control pad from her world, reading her coded thoughts and improvisations is impossible.
[ OTHER ] Early, Alpha-series Westworld hosts were constructed with internal metal skeletons covered with (effectively) a skin suit, realistic until cut open. Maeve is a Beta series host, built when the park moved to a variety of 3D-printing. Almost exclusively printed from organic material Maeve is nearly impossible to distinguish from a regular human outside of two features: a port for hard-wiring installed in her forearm, which can only be accessed by cutting the skin, and a cortical chamber in her skull instead of a physical brain.

OPT-OUT EXPLICITLY FOR ROBOTS/SYNTHETICS

[ TECHNICAL PERSUASION ] When making her programming and behavioral changes to herself Maeve inadvertently gave herself the ability to influence other synthetics with "suggestions" - effectively coding and re-coding on the fly. By speaking a new narrative to them, they would follow that narrative as law, circumventing what they were coded to do. She must speak the suggestions in the primary language of the host in question, however, or they will not take. This ability manifests itself in whispers that only the afflicted party can hear. Maeve does not require an active wireless network or hard-wiring to utilize this skill.

Within the context of Westworld, Maeve can effectively tell other hosts what to do, and they listen. Within the context of Hadriel, I am leaving it up to other players with synthetics to determine how it may influence them. There are a few options here:
1.) The ability has no effect on your character.
2.) The ability has minimal/some effect on your character: they can hear the whispers, the suggestion, but choose whether to follow, be confused, decide against it, et cetera.
3.) The ability has full effect: less likely since all these synthetics have different construction, but I'm cool with it if you are. Obviously any "control" orders would be discussed beforehand between parties. Just let me know! :)

If you have a synthetic, please specify below using the form how you would like this ability to influence them so I have a reference! If you'd like to talk it over in more detail, you can also find me on Plurk at [plurk.com profile] uncalendula.

OOC PERMISSIONS

[ BACKTAGGING ] Always and forever. I'm a slow tagger, please don't hound me, I get to things at my own pace and the tags are usually better for it.
[ THREADJACKING ] Sure! Unless the thread is very obviously planned in such a way that it only involves the people currently threading it, feel free to bust on in!
[ FOURTHWALLING ] I'm fine with game-breaking, omniscient characters knowing everything about her, but not really okay with someone telling her she's from a television show.

IC PERMISSIONS

[ PHYSICAL CONTACT ] Yes - sort of. Some physical contact is acceptable, provided it isn’t too grabby or intimate. She spent most of her time as a host being handled without her consent. If you get too fresh, she’ll rip off your dick and feed it to you.
[ FLIRTING ] Yes. Depending on your technique and whether she actually has a physical interest, she may flirt back.
[ KISSING/HUGGING ] No. Unless it has been approved by her, Maeve will not react well.
[ ROMANCE ] You can...attempt it. It's not impossible.
[ INJURING ] Sure! But let's talk about it first!
[ KILLING ] I'm down for plotting this out beforehand. Maeve has died a lot. Like, hundreds of times. That has a way of fucking someone up, but she's used to it.
[ WARNINGS ] Contents of RP with Maeve can (but won't often) include foul language, mentions of physical/sexual violence, alcohol abuse, rape, murder, death/dying.

CHARACTER NAME you know who this is
⇀ Will your character be affected by the ability?
Since Nick is not, like... coded to believe he's Nick Valentine so much as a straight-up copy of the real Nick Valentine's brain, I thiiiiink this is a more of a no, but we can totally swing it toward a minimal effect sort of situation for RP funsies if we want to? Because hearing voices and whatnot will be good on him, clearly. He's got a lot of identity issues as it is. :(

I AM STILL LOOKING FORWARD TO TAGGING HER THOUGH PLEASE LET ME HAVE THIS CR.

CHARACTER NAME Prototype Sad Robot
⇀ Will your character be affected by the ability?
Yes, at least to some extent!
⇀ If YES, in what way?
Minimal; he'll probably be aware something's going on, if not exactly what it is, and be able to ignore it unless he's already otherwise distracted or something. If we handwave our TDM thread you know the drill.

CHARACTER NAME
⇀ Will your character be affected by the ability?
Mmm, since Oscar is made up entirely of mechanical parts--no eletronic power source or electrical components--I'm not sure if this would be possible! What do you think? I don't know Westworld well enough to say.
